Circulation - HTML Email Notices

This article contains information for you to consult as you request email notices formatted in HTML for your patrons. To print notices or list phone numbers for patrons who do not have an email address in their user account, you will need to request a separate notice report.

Setting up HTML Email Notices

To request HTML email notices for your patrons, open a ticket and include the following information:
1. Which notice type(s) would you like emailed to your patrons:
  1. Announcement email (welcome or privilege expiration notices)
  2. Hold pickup email
  3. Courtesy email (early overdue notice)
  4. Overdue email
  5. Bill email
2. What is the text for each notice?
  1. If you have the requested notice types already set up, MSC staff will provide the text of those notices for review.
3. If applicable, what is the frequency of the notice? For example, you may want two overdue notices sent with the first notice emailed at 1 day overdue and the second notice emailed at 7 days overdue.

4. Do you have a logo to use in the notice?
  1. If you have a logo on your library Enterprise page, MSC staff will use this.
  2. If you have an updated logo or other image, please send as as jpg or png file.
  3. Alternatively, MSC staff will use your library name at the head of the notice.
5. Are there additional sites to link to that are not included the text of your notice? Your logo will link to your Library homepage.
