This article covers how to remove holds in WorkFlows.


Removing Holds

You can remove holds in WorkFlows in two (2) ways:
  1. Using the Remove User Holds wizard
  2. Using the Remove Item Hold wizard
Use whichever wizard makes the most sense for you at the time.

Removing Holds by User

To remove a hold directly from a user's account:
  1. Open the Remove User Holds wizard (Circulation module > Holds toolbar > Remove User Holds).
  2. Pull up the account by scanning the user ID or with the User Search helper (person with magnifying glass icon).
  3. Select the hold(s) you want to remove from the account.
  4. Click Remove Holds.
  5. Depending on your wizard settings, you'll see a pop-up confirming the hold(s) were removed.

Removing Holds by Item

To remove a hold from an item:
  1. Open the Remove Item Hold wizard (Circulation module > Holds toolbar > Remove Item Hold).
  2. Scan the item ID or use the Item Search helper (book with magnifying glass icon) to pull up the record.
  3. Select the hold(s) you want removed. Double-check you've selected the correct hold(s)!
  4. Click Remove Holds.
  5. Depending on your wizard settings, you'll see a pop-up confirming the hold(s) were removed.
