Configuring a Barcode Scanner

1. Plug your new scanner into your workstation (this will most likely be via USB).
2. From the menu bar, click Preference > Peripherals > Barcode Reader...

3. Check Barcode reader available.
4. You will most likely want Attached to keyboard or USB selected.
5. Click OK.
6. Restart WorkFlows and select Yes when prompted to save changes.
7. Use the programming code sheet(s) provided by the scanner brand or manufacturer to complete the configuration process.
If you receive an error about extra alphabetical characters when scanning, refer to the programming sheet(s) provided by the brand or manufacturer to reprogram the scanner, making sure to re-scan the codes for start and stop characters.
