WorkFlows - Changing Staff Passwords (PINs)
About
This article covers changing staff passwords (PINs) for WorkFlows, which must be updated annually, and should be updated after staff turnover.
Password Expiration Pop-Ups
WorkFlows passwords (aka PINs) automatically expire after
365 days. These PINs should also be updated after
staff turnover.
To update a PIN at a time
other than the annual update, please
open a ticket and an MSC system administrator will update it for you.
Staff will see a warning pop-up starting
14 days
before expiration
letting them know the PIN will expire soon.
Warning letting staff know when the PIN will expire.
You will be able to change the PIN up to
7 days
after expiration before the account locks.
Warning letting staff know the PIN has expired and needs to be changed.
If staff choose to close out of the previous pop-up, they'll be prompted to exit WorkFlows.
Once the account locks (21 days after the initial warning), you'll need to
open a ticket
to request that MSC system admin unlock it by resetting your PIN.
Password Requirements
WorkFlows PINs are now
case-sensitive and must meet the following criteria:
- 8 characters minimum; 25 characters max
- 1 lowercase required
- 1 uppercase required
- 1 number required
- 1 special character required
Reusing passwords is discouraged. The system checks the past five (5) PINs to prevent repeats.
PIN Override Field
Once you've entered and confirmed your new PIN, you'll need to enter the override code
'yes' (without the quotation marks).
Click
Save to finalize the change.
